Although our little plant had some time to grow even before SKA-P decided to take a break... No Relax founders Joxemi, guitarist of Ska-P, and italian frontgirl Micky got to know each other 2003 while touring through Erope with different bands. Together they decided to work on a different style of music, that often has no room in the bands they are playing with. Micky left her former band B.d.p., and they instantly started writing somgs together. First result of their cooperation was „Gridalo!“, self-produced and released by their own label „Incontrolable“. This first No Relax album mixed almost all the important musical influences they came across during their lives: Street Punk, a dash of Swing , some Clash-Sound, some Reggae and lots of Rock’n’Roll from the 50’s. After the release of “Gridalo!”, No Relax started touring and playing festivals all over Spain and Italy. The official time-out of Ska-P opened the way for Joxemi and Micky to more intensive touring and songwriting. After a heavy summer tour with performances in front of more than 10.000 people, like for example at La Cubierta in Leganes, they started to record their new songs. In February 2006, their next album „Virus de Rebelion“ was released by Maldito Records. This new work included even more musical influences: Of course the base is still fast, energetic Street Punk’n’Roll, but on top of the styles mentioned before they managed to include as well celtic punk influences, even some jazzy ingredients and lots of spanish fiesta! In spring 2007, No Relax are going to be touring all over Europe, and of course summer-festival visitors as well can look forward to some extremely high-speed, though melodic, danceable, and sudorific performances on stages all over!
