29-11-04 17:43 TAGTRAUM ICH BIN By MIKE Wenn eine Band seit über 11 Jahren existiert, sich durch alle Widrigkeiten des musikalischen Untergrunds gekämpft und selbst radikale Besetzungswechsel schadlos überstanden hat, dann weiß man, dass diese Band es ernst meint. TAGTRAUM aus Schweinfurt bekamen noch nie etwas geschenkt, organisierten jedes einzelne Konzert ihrer Karriere selbst, sind in jedem Jugendzentrum von Deutschland bis Spanien mindestens einmal aufgetreten und haben sich so sprichwörtlich jeden einzelnen Zuschauer durch unermüdliches Touren erspielt. Musikalisch hat das Trio mit jeder Platte immer mehr das Wechselspiel zwischen laut und leise und von getragen zu dynamisch entdeckt und perfektioniert. Die Eingängigkeit von ALKALINE TRIO, der vertrackte, treibende Rhythmus von AT THE DRIVE-IN, der sperrige Indierock von WAXWING oder auch die Melancholie der BRIGHT EYES - sie alle haben ihre deutlichen Spuren auf den Liedern von TAGTRAUM hinterlassen, ohne dabei ihre Eigenständigkeit anzutasten. Eine Sonderstellung nehmen auch die Texte von Sänger und Gitarrist Matthias Nürnberger ein. Hier wird sich nicht hinter einem ironischen Schutzwall oder kryptischen Satzbauten versteckt, sondern vom Älterwerden und von Idealen erzählt - vom Fernweh und dem Gefühl, endlich ein Stück Heimat gefunden zu haben. Von den kleinen Dingen, die das Leben manchmal schwer erträglich aber auch wunderschön machen. All diese Dinge sind es die - zusammen gezählt - ein TAGTRAUM-Album oder eines ihrer unzähligen Konzerte zu etwas Besonderem machen. Dieses Gefühl, dass es um mehr geht als nur zu konsumieren- um die oft herbeigesehnte, aber selten wirklich vorhandene Kommunikation zwischen Musiker und Zuhörer. Die "ich bin" EP enthält vier neue Lieder, drei davon sind brandneu und nur hier zu finden. Als Bonusmaterial gibt es das Video zum Titelsong sowie diverse Bildergalerien. Das Titelstück "ich bin" wird auch auf dem im November erscheinenden fünften TAGTRAUM-Album „komm lass es echt sein“ enthalten sein. Für die Produktion beider Tonträger war wieder Hausproduzent Sven Peks zuständig, der zuletzt u.a. mit Bands wie MILES, ELECTRIC CLUB oder ASTRA KID gearbeitet hat. Das Design der "ich bin" EP stammt von André Liegl, der vielen durch seine wunderschönen Covergestaltungen für u.a. AMBROSE, LÀ PAR FORCE oder THE CABLE CAR THEORY ein Begriff sein dürfte.
