Well Blisterhead are here to prove you wrong.Energy from 50:s rock n´roll and brutal live acts like you were back in -77. Based on youth, energy, cockiness and some small town boredom, this fab-four-piece of a machine will surely shake you down. Punkrock like it´s supposed to be. Nothing more, nothing less.Well, Rome wasn´t built in a day.The story of Punkrock´s finest takes us back to late -98 when two teens with one vision got together to find a cure against shitty music and common boredom. Kim Nilsson and Erik Törnqvist soon recruited Carl Brandström to play the drums and Andreas Emanuelsson on base. We now have four youngsters, ready to roll.After a slow start with different rehearsal rooms the band finally find a home in Falköping. After one year of rehearsals and playing the local venues they decided to do their first real recording. The result was a four song punkrock piece called “The Hooligans are Here”. Press and public where excited and the group began to attract some crowd at their gigs. Music magazine Close-Up proudly presented“The Hooligans are Here” as their favourite demo that number and compared it to Bombshell Rocks. The Music fanzine “Skrutt” wrote as follows: (-Wow, fuck this is good. I think this one of the best demos I ever got…) (9/10)Blisterhead participated on both Close-Up and “Skrutt” compilations and were really on the roll.Returning to the studio to record the follow up to “Hooligans” drummer Carl left the band. This happened when the year of 2001 was still a child, and Blisterhead started the search for someone who could replace the lost soul. Suddenly some strange kid started to appear in and around the band…Blisterhead released their second recording under the name “The Sound of Unity”. New drummer and singer of brutal class Johan Karlsson decides to stick with the band, and nothing is ever to be the same. Once again press and public goes wild and a few months of constantly gigging starts. A couple of weeks later Blisterhead is known as Falköpings best live act. The fab-four continued to spit out new material and when the phone rang, Blisterhead were ready.This time the call up came from Norway. A lot of mails and calls later the van was packed and in august 2001 Blisterhead hit the road to show the good people of Norway how to kick out the jams. Together with British punks named Dogshit Sandwich a couple of cities in the south Norwegian area finally got a first taste of true punkrock. The tour was a success. The band continued to play all over Sweden until it was time to record “Small Town Rebels”. A demo containing five great punk rock hits which gave Blisterhead a chance to tour England and do a few more gigs in Norway with bands like Ex-Cathedra and GBH. During this time they also had the opportunity to get to know the italian streetpunkers Los Fastidios who became a fatherly and friendly rolemodel for the band.Time passed and now Blisterhead have released their debutalbum "Punk Royale". They´ve toured Italy, France and Austria. They have even had the time to to lode thier intire backline in Rome and buy a new one. So as you see, these guys are quite busy.Today there’s no vaccine against the Blisterhead flu as the boys turn their heads in any direction, and you better be ready when Sweden´s finest come to inject your town with some true punkrock ´n roll fever.
