4-12-04 12:28 LUMPEN IN OGNi CASO NESSUN RIMORSO By MIKE Lumpen’s story : 1999 : at the end of 1999 Silverio ( he played the guitar in many other bands in cosenza ) and Valerio ( he played drum in many other bands in cosenza and he shared with silverio a punk band ) decided to create an oi! Band. Lumpen’s first line up started to play in the csa Gramna , the first cosenza’s squat. ( in this period : Alessandro was the voice , and Alessandro I. Played the bass ) 2000 : now start the real begin of Lumpen ! in this year they tryed to do a very low-fi tape recording , and they did some live performance ( off course always in cosenza ). In dicember the band was for the first time in a recording studio , to create the first demo tape , called “ diamo fastidio “ 2001 : in this year they make too much promotional’s work ! in italy many kids started to know the band , and the first single “ bastardo infame “ became an easy song against the policemen , in may the band leaved for the first tour around the south of Italy with another oi! Band called Inerdzia , and in july Lumpen played at the first punks and skins meeting in Frosinone , near to Rome. 2002 : in the Italian oi! Scene , Lumpen grow up very quickly ! they made a lot of live permormances ,in many parts of italy ! Like the first Italian Sharp meeting in Cremona ( north of italy ) with Los fastidios and Analogs. In September the band returned at the recording studio for the first album , that will be published on kob records one of the most important street punk and oi! Label in italy. 2003 : the first album is out ! the first album was a cd split , shared with punkinari ( punk band from the north of italy ) ; the national fanzines and national rock magazines ( like Rock Sound and Rumore ) reviewed it very well ; the album obviously had a good diffusion in italy and also in the east of Europe . Lumpen stayed on the road for a big tour in italy , for example like the kob day ( an itinerant festival of kob label ) at Bergamo and Perugia with Los Fastidios , Skarface and Atarassia Group 2004 LUMPEN’S NEW LINE UP ! : now Francesco is the voice and Mattia play the bass ( Francesco was a member of the lumpen road crew , and Mattia is the twin of Silverio ! ) after some months Lumpen are again on the road for a tour , now also in Switzerland , at cab de l’usine Geneve , with Los Fastidios and Krays , on july.
