The nine lads from munich have chalked up quite a few gigs in recent years. Beside their numerous performances in Germany, Austria and Italy, they've appeared at the Theatron Open Air, Bolzano X-Mas Ska Festival, at the Backstage Free&Easy and the Muffathalle Fun-for-free-Festival amongst others. Musically, the Dumplings stand out for their broad Repertoire. Traditional jamaican Ska meets Rocksteady, Up-Tempo-Numbers are paired with swinging Off-Beats und tight Roots-Reggae-Riddims are an invitation to dance. Crackling horns, groovy basslines and soulful vocal arrangements round off the Steamy Dumplings' sound. Devotees of decent Ragga-Rhymes are also catered for: thanks to Dr. O! The five singers in the band ensure a rich and varied musical experience that stays with you long after the concert. But their shows aren't for lovers of cosy, undemanding concerts: there will be dancing, partying and audience participation. The Band's charisma is infectious. The horn section dance themselves into a stupor and no one is capable of resisting this spectacle! And anyone that doesn't start dancing will be snatched up on stage for a private lesson with Prince Flow. Simply and purely a live-delight and always a kicking party! The Dumplings are also an absolute hit as a support band. They have partied with the legendary Skatalites, The Tokyo Ska Paradise Orchestra, Stranger Cole, Skaos, Bluekilla, Benuts, Jamaram, Dubious Neighbourhood, Scrapy and the Peeping Toms, to mention but a few. They also belong to the group of winners of the renowned Munich City Sprungbrett-Bandcontest having won in 2003. The Steamy Dumplings have already proved that they deliver quality in the studio too. That was in 2004, with the release of their debut album „Hot Steamy Thing“. The second CD “Do you know?” is at the pressing plant and will be presented to the eager fans in autumn 2007. But make no mistake, the Dumplings are primarily a live act. They love having fun with audiences and enjoy every concert to the max. And so will you!
